Congrats and More
Hi, I attended the fantastic FTC Irish Festival for the last two years. This year I went both days, and was very glad I did. It was not only bigger and better, but the varied performers added a dimension of enjoyment and diversity that I've not experienced at any of the Festivals in Colorado before. This was an Irish Festival to be proud of! Please keep the "Shamrock Pass"! The Elders once again were the tops of all performances, in my opinion. The other groups from last year added different flavors that amplified the overall variety and provided a change of pace and wider range of musical experience. Hope to see all next year! The addition of the newer groups made the whole experience overfill my bucket of enjoyment. Most notable to me were: The Screaming Orphans-a truly delightful and talented group of young women that I am sure will grow much larger on the world stage. They were very fresh, fun and diverse addition whose gusto (Go Joan!) and edge ranked right up there with The Elders, but really added their own special blend of rock and Irish musical poetry. They must come back next year, if at all possible. The Fuchsia Band was a big joy to listen to and added a further level of fun with their stage humor and "stage talk" between songs. The ladies of Liadan were lovely in so many ways. Their voices were angelic, their musical ability outstanding, their stage appearances sophisticated and so, so lovely. I was knocked over by the energy, musicianship, and wide range of talent of Searson. Really wowed by the fiddle playing and stage presence of Colleen Searson, and the harmony of the ladies voices. These were my personal favorites, so much so that I did not get to see all of the groups as I was held fast to each performance of those mentioned above. I truly hope they can all return for the 2010 Irish festival. I promise I will! Robert

Liadan
Once again for the second year in a row I really enjoyed the Festival but by far the best, was Liadan. I have been following and playing Irish music since the seventies and Liadan is the best thing I have heard in a great many years. So congratulations for finding them and I hope you will have them back again. Best Regards, Jim Tolstrup

Thank you for a great Festival!
Hello, My wife and I travelled from Atlanta to Colorado last weekend to attend your festival, and we have a great time! Thank you so much for all the hard work your team did to make this fantastic event possible. Our main reason for choosing the Fort Collins Festival was the excellent music line-up, especially our favorite band the Young Dubliners as well as The Elders and The Screaming Orphans who we love. We have travelled to other irish Festivals in Savannah, Cleveland and Jacksonville to see these great bands play, and we were so glad to see all three in one place. While there, we also loved Searson, The Prodigals, The Brazen Heads and The Fuchsia Band. These four were new to us. We bought seven CDs at the Festival. In addition to the great music lineup, there were so many other good things about this Festival including the location, the variety of food selections, reasonable beer prices, low admission costs, and much more. Thanks again and good luck organizing next years Festival. We hope to return. Maurice Frank Marietta, GA

Wonderful Festival
John, The FCIF Festival was wonderful this year. My parents were here from Oregon, and as long time celtic festival goers and musicians, they were very impressed with the FCIF musical line up. They were literally blown away by The Elders. They own all of The Elders Cd's (thanks to Ryan and I) however they have never seen them live. I hope this event continues and I will do everything I can to promote it next year on HeidiTown. Heidi Kerr-Schlaefer Writer/blogger, www.HeidiTown.com

Fabulous Festival
Bev and John- Many thanks to the both of you for another fabulous festival. This one topped anything I have ever attended in Colorado (or anyplace else for that matter. I don't know when I have enjoyed three nights and two days of music, food and drink like I did this past weekend. The addition of Friday night's concert in Old Towne was a great marketing plan that obviously worked well. Looking forward to Irish Festival 2010. Thanks again to both of you for all your efforts and hard work. Patt

Thanks for a great Festival!
Don't know how you did it or where you came up with the passion and commitment to pull off a weekend of world class Irish music, culture and history with so much more but you and your wife and daughter are to be congratulated! I am sure in this economy this start up festival has been very hard on you, don't give up, society needs individuals like you with your passion and desire to bring so much joy to so many people. I'll count the days until next year!

Excellent Festival!
We had a blast performing for the audience in Fort Collins, what a great weekend! FCIF definitely knows how to look after their musicians and we all appreciated it. xoxo Searson

Professional Festival Attender
Wow! What a GREAT festival. I have no idea how you managed to get so many fantastic bands in only your second year. The Elders, The Young Dubs and Screaming Orphans on one stage were worth the trip from Cleveland alone. Add in some new bands I hadn't seen before, a great site, friendly volunteers and a great town in a top notch state - what a combination. We already plan to return next year. Still have to wait a few days to buy the airplane tickets. Stupid 331 day rule. Thanks also for the extra special treat to see and hear Cindy Wasserman sing with the Young Dubs, as well as Anthony Byrne with The Elders. Everything was top notch. One of my favorite festival weekends ever. Wonderful job John.

Great Festival and a Suggestion..!
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the Ft. Collins Irish Festival.. Great lineup, a very mellow crowd, and overall just plain FUN! One suggestion though....you can help out the 'Green Cause' by recycling the beer cups. One cup can be re-used for the entire day. Great festival overall....and we will be back next year ! I would love to see Searson return. They were great.

Mighty Fine Bands!
I just wanted to share with you the success the merchandise tent experienced this past weekend. I had a great team, whom was a great support and help all weekend. It was with their energetic and eager attitudes that contributed to the sales of items for a brilliant line up of bands!!! It was by far the best line up of bands I have witnessed at a Celtic festival (and I have been to a few :) They not only were a talented and entertaining bunch, but friendly and appreciative and helpful with me in regards to merchandise. It was a pleasure and honor to work with such a great lot of talented people. It was a bit of fun to see them so thankful and enjoying themselves. All the festival goers; what joys to watch and share with their excitement of seeing a favorite band or discovering a new one. It was a weekend full of smiles, craic, and positive vibes to boot! Thank you volunteers! Especially my crew- Mom, Carol, Greg. Couldn't have done it without you! Thank you John, Bev, and Bri. WOW! Just a stellar group of bands (Anthony included). Here is to 2010! Slainte!

Dunmanway History
I LOVED visiting with Fintan - I was in his hometown this time last year, staying at the Waterfall House, and so it was a bit of nostalgia to hear the lilting lovely Irish accent and revisit a bit of last summer's vacation. Dia Dhuit, Fintan! Many thanks for sharing your Caed Mille Failtes with us!
